Five members of Jaffna motorcycle gang arrested

Police have arrested five suspected members of the motorcycle gang responsible for attacking several individuals using sharp objects and torching a shop in Jaffna.
The suspects were arrested following operations carried out in Jaffna and Kopai along with 4 swords, a hand axe, a tomahawk and a motorcycle, the police spokesman’s office said.
They will be produced before the Jaffna Magistrate’s Court today (01), police said.
CCTV footage released to media yesterday showed several sword-wielding members of a motorbike gang in Jaffna attacking people near a shop which they had damaged by hurling a petrol bomb.
