Rathana Thero can rejoin party if he retracts statement - JHU

Co-Chairman of the Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU), Ven. Hedigalle Wimalasara Thera says parliamentarian Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera can rejoin the party if he retracts the initial statement he made when announcing his decision to sit independently in parliament. 

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo today (21), he said that the Thera can resolve any other existing issues thorough discussion. 

However, he said, that the central committee of the JHU has currently reached a decision that a disciplinary inquiry was necessary regarding the MP and that a committee has been appointed in this regard.
