Online passport service to be introduced

The Department of Emigration and Immigration stated that an initiative to issue passports online will be put in place in the future. 

The initiative is carried out as part of the innovation process of the department of Emigration and Immigration. 

The department stated that the initial steps to make this programme a success have already begun. 

It has been reported that an application requesting for the renewal of a passport via the internet will be available to the public, where payments will be made via a credit card. 

The initiative will be introduced before the end of this year, according to the department of Emigration and immigration.
