Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon quits as provincial minister after SLFP removes father

Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon has resigned from his portfolio as Central Province Minister of Industries due to the removal of his father from the post of SLFP Dambulla Organiser.
UPFA MPs Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, Lohan Ratwatte and PC member Anura Widanagamage have been removed from their respective positions as SLFP electoral organisers.
President Maithripala Sirisena today appointed 17 new electoral and district organizers at a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
Former Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, who held the position of SLFP Organiser for Dambulla Electorate, has been replaced by W.M. Yasamana and U.R. Daya Nandasiri who have been appointed as Co-organizers.
W.M. Samarajeewa Bandara Welagedara has been appointed as SLFP Organiser for Pathadumbara Electorate, the post previously held by MP Lohan Ratwatte.
Uva Provincial Council member Anura Widanagamage, who was the SLFP Organiser for Mahiyangana Electorate, has been replaced by K.P. Gunawardena.
