Samaratunga appointed as new Media Secretary - Bopage awaiting new appt

Following the cabinet reshuffling, the Secretary to the Treasurer and Ministry of Finance, Dr. R H S Samaratunga has also been vested with the responsibilities of the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media.
Upon an inquiry made by Ada Derana, the former Secretary to the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media, Nimal Bopage stated that he had yet to be informed of his new appointment.
Nimal Bopage proceeded to verify that Dr. Samaratunga had in fact already assumed his duties as the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media, adding that he expected to be notified of his new appointment in future.
