Rajagiriya flyovers to open by end of the year - Harsha

Deputy Minister of Policy Planning and Economic Development, Harsha De Silva stated that the two flyovers found at the Rajagiriya Junction will be opened by December 2017. 

He added that although one of the two flyovers were due to be opened in December 2018, due to the efficient construction process, both flyover will be declared open by the end of this year. 

De Silva further stated that although certain channels have claimed that the bridge was falling apart and that the job wasn’t getting done properly, the public can be assured that the project is very much on track. 

He further added that the project will not cost the estimated Rs. 4.5 billion and that it will be completed before the date it was planned to open on initially.
