MP Namal Rajapaksa states that certain isolated mistakes were made during the Rajapaksa regime and that they were now paying for said mistakes.

He stated this in response to a question raised by the media today (28), after being released from remand custody on bail (28).

Charges were previously filed against Namal Rajapaksa and two others for alleged money laundering practices.

MP Namal Rajapaksa stated that the mistakes were the result of arbitrary actions of a few government servants and Police officers.

He stated that even children would become stubborn if they were not paid attention to and that similarly, university students were acting in this manner as their issues were not addressed. He added that the Government is attempting to avoid these problems until their tenure of five years expired.

Namal Rajapaksa also pointed out that the Government appointed by the university students themselves was now acting against them.
