Both night-mail trains travelling between Colombo and Badulla cancelled

The railway department reported that both the night mail trains that were to travel between Badulla and Colombo, have been cancelled.

The cancellation had occurred as result of the derailing of the night mail train that travelled to Badulla from Colombo, yesterday (12). 

Railway Superintendent, Wijeya Samarasinghe stated that the incident had occurred while the train was travelling between Hatton and Kotagala. 

Samarasinghe added that four of the carriages on the train have been derailed.
