Former Minister Azwer dies aged 80

Former Minister A. H. M. Azwer passed away a short while ago.

Azwer, aged 80 years, had reportedly passed away at a private hospital where he had been admitted for the past few weeks, according to sources.


The funeral proceedings will be held at his house. Address is as follows:
No. 4, Bathiya Mawatha,
Dehiwala.

A. H. M. Azwer was a Sri Lankan politician, and a Former National List member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

He was a member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), and had affiliations with the United National Party (UNP) prior to that.

Azwer was born on February 08, 1937, and served as a politician from April 2010 till August 17, 2015.
