SL Air Force champions progress through reconciliation in the North

An Air Force exhibition and merriment in honour of the 66th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force was conducted at the Vavuniya Air Force base earlier today (01), in the presence of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy. 

The festivities were conducted under the theme ‘development through reconciliation’. The event that saw the participation of all ethnic groups of the country displayed an array of talented Air Force officers who exhibited their aptitude and capabilities much to the enjoyment of all that was present.
 
Notably, the event marked the first time an Air Force celebration was conducted in the Northern region of Sri Lanka. 

Speaking to the public, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy extended his willingness to accept any keen member of the North who desired to join the Air Force. He also highlighted the tremendous service rendered by the Air Force during the troubled times Sri Lanka faced.
