Over 200 garment workers hospitalised with food poisoning

Over 200 employees of an apparel factory have reportedly been admitted to the Dickoya Hospital due to suspected food poisoning.  

Police said that employees of a garment factory located in Newweligama, Norwood have been hospitalized in this manner after several of them had fainted and shown symptoms of food poisoning. 

The workers had fallen ill after consuming the food provided by the factory this morning (4).

Norwood Police is conducting an investigations into the incident.
