A handbill distribution campaign themed, “Let’s align with the final struggle to abolish SAITM”organized by the Anti SAITM Union was held at the Fort Railway Station, today (19).

Speaking at the occasion, Secretary to the GMOA Dr. Haritha Aluthge stated that the country has come to the final stage of defeating SAITM.

The Mahanayake Theras of three Nikayas have forwarded a letter to the President and the Prime Minister requesting a suitable solution for SAITM matter which is favorable for both the parties involved, Dr.Aluthge added.

Therefore the Ministers including Lakshman Kiriella will have to prepare necessary documentations preventing further enrollment of students to SAITM if they pay respect to the Mahanayake Theras,He said.
