Medical Faculty Students’ Parents Association commence fast unto death

The Medical Faculty Students’ Parents Association commenced a fast unto death today (6) demanding the government to close down SAITM.

It will be held in Colombo according to international standards, the Association stated.

Meanwhile, the Convener of Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF) Lahiru Weerasekara said that although they have not accepted solutions provided by the government regarding SATIM issue, the government had failed to provide a satisfactory response to them.

The Medical Faculty Students’ Action Committee against SAITM commenced Satyagraha in front of National Hospital, Colombo  on November 1.

 The Convener, Ryan Jayalath stated that the Satyagraha will be held throughout the day and a series of similar Satyagraha will be operated on District basis.

The Satyagraha series was held supporting the fast unto death launched by Medical Faculty Students’ Parents Association today(6).
