State Education Minister V.S. Radhakrishnan said that he will decide whether to remain in his position or not after the debate on the expenditure of Education Ministry to be held on November 23.

Making a special statement to media, the Deputy Minister alleged that although he bears a ministerial portfolio he gains no co-operation from  officers in the Ministry to perform any task.

Speaking further he said that he held discussions with Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Prime Minister and the President regarding the issues he faced, however he received no satisfactory response from any party.

A special meeting of Upcountry Peoples’ Front is also scheduled to be held tomorrow (11) and the issue will be taken into discussion at the meeting, he said.

Accordingly, the state minister will be taking a decision with regard to his mistrial portfolio after the party discussion.
