Clash between student groups in Hemmathagama: five students summoned to record statements

A clash between the A/level section and O/level section of a prominent Muslim school in Hemmathagama resulted in three students being hospitalized after violence ensued among the student groups. 

The clash broke out yesterday (13), after which police intervention became necessary. Following the incident five students were called to the Hemmathagama police station to record statements regarding the incident. 

Hospital sources confirm that none of the students involved sustained critical injuries during the event.  
UPDATE: 9.40am

The The five students who were summoned for questioning in connection to the incident have been taken into police custody. 

Reports confirm that they will be produced before courts today (14).
