November 14, 2017   08:27 am

The President declared that a scheme of benefits will be provided for all military operatives serving in the Sri Lankan armed forces.

The President stated that the benefits scheme will be introduced after the cabinet grants approval to the proposed scheme of benefits.

Accordingly a monthly fee will be paid to all disabled soldiers and families of deceased soldiers who lost their lives while patrolling or serving areas of the country during the war.

The sum of money lost after the EPF of disabled soldiers was revised to 86 percent will also be reimbursed to soldiers upon reaching the age of 55.
