Electricity supply disrupted: restoring power delayed due to adverse weather - CEB

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has reported that the electricity supply has been disrupted to several areas within Colombo and the south of the country due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
Accordingly, the power distribution to several areas within the Colombo city limits, Matara, Galle, Badulla and Kalutara has been interrupted due to broken telecommunication lines and towers.
The CEB stated that there will be a delay in restoring power due to practical constraints.
