President signs gazette proclaiming next parliamentary session date

President Maithripala Sirisena has signed the gazette notification proclaiming the next parliamentary session will be on May  08, at 2.15 pm, the President’s Media Division (PMD) reported. 

The President prorogued the last session of Parliament with effect from April 13.

The Gazette notification issued by the Secretary to the President had further stated that the next session of Parliament will commence on May, 2018.
