Gas cylinder price reduced by Rs. 138

The price of a 12.5 kg domestic LP gas cylinder will be reduced by Rs 138 from midnight today (29), the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) said. 

Meanwhile the price of the 5 kg LG gas cylinder is to be reduced by Rs. 55 while the price of the 2.3 kg cylinder will reduce by Rs. 25 from midnight today. 

Accordingly the new price of the 12.5 kg gas cylinder will be Rs. 1538, the 5kg cylinder will be priced at Rs. 615 while the new price of the 2.3 kg gas cylinder will be Rs 283. 

The prices of both Litro and Laugfs LP gas cylinder will be subjected to the price revision, the CAA said. 

The Consumer Affairs Authority has sent the two Determination Letters today  afternoon to the Companies concerned.

This Determination follows the order to this effect made by the Cost of Living Committee of Sri Lanka on 26 June, 2018.
