Minor earth tremors reported at Hali-Ela

Residents in the area reported that they had felt a minor earth tremor in several areas of Hali-Ela in Badulla.

Shop owners disclosed to Ada Derana that the said tremor occurred in several shops in the town at around 12.30 pm today (18).

However, when queried from the Research Unit of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB), they stated that there was no such incident.
