Residents near Kalu, Ging and Attanagalu Oya cautioned – DMC

Resident near Kalu River, Gin River and Attanagalu Oya are advised to be cautionary of the rising water levels, stated Disaster Management Center (DMC).

Assistant Director of DMC Pradeep Kodippili stated that public should pay attention to announcements of the DMC regarding this.

Galle and Kalutara districts including many roads around the country were flooded due to heavy rain and currently a decrease of the water levels can be observed, he said.

However, according to the Department of Meteorology, rain could be expected in many parts of the country today (07).
