‘Hybrid Sudda’ who was on bail arrested with heroin

A suspect has been arrested in the Padukka area while in possession of 1.1 kg of heroin valued at around Rs 13 million, police said.

The arrest was made by a team of officers from the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).

The arrested individual is a 37 year old name Sameera Rasanga Gunasekara alias ‘Hybrid Sudda’, stated Police Media Spokesperson.

He had been conducting his heroin racket in a rented house in Netioluwa-Angampitiya in Padukka while his permanent address is confirmed to be in Himbutana, Angoda.

Police stated that the arrestee is a follower of ‘Dematagoda Chaminda’ who is currently sentenced to death.

Sameera Gunasekara alias ‘Hybrid Sudda’ is a suspect over the incident of killing 2 persons and harming 12 others in Bloemendhal area 31st July 2015, during the past Presidential election era. He is currently under bail.

Police Media Spokesperson stated that suspect is currently in custody of CCD and will be detained after being produced before the court.
