RAW doesn’t need to assassinate politicians of neighboring countries – Fonseka

October 21, 2018   09:10 pm

Minister of Sustainable Development, Wildlife and Regional Development Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka says that he doesn’t believe that a professional organization such as India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) would attempt to assassinate politicians of a neighboring country.

He mentioned this following an event held in Kelaniya area.

RAW is an intelligence unit which has a high level of professionalism, said the Minister. It is not an organization built on the mentality of assassinating neighboring politicians, he added.

They have high discipline within their organization, unlike certain intelligence units in Sri Lanka, he further said.

Commenting to a question on the alleged conflict between the President and the Prime Minister, Fonseka stated that it is inevitable to have disagreements when one is a politician or an authority and that he doesn’t believe that the President and the PM have a conflict between them.
