Case against Ravi postponed due to Chief Magistrate’s absence

Colombo Magistrate’s Court has ordered to take up the complaint filed against former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake for allegedly providing false evidence before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate the Issuance of Treasury Bonds.

The complaint was scheduled to be taken before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake today (22).

However, due to the absence of the Chief Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake, the case was postponed to November 05 by the Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.

The complaint was filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) against the former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake for allegedly providing false evidence before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate the Issuance of Treasure Bonds.
