More new Ministers sworn in

Another group of Parliamentarians were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers, State Ministers and Deputy Ministers before President Maithripala Sirisena today (01).
Accordingly, two (2) Ministers, five (5) State Ministers and six (6) Deputy Ministers were sworn in during a brief ceremony at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo late in the evening.
On October 29, the President had appointed 12 Cabinet Ministers, a State Minister and a Deputy Minister while the following day UNP MP Dunesh Gankanda was sworn in as the Minister of State for Environment.
This brings the total number ministers in the new government to 14 Cabinet Ministers, 7 State Ministers and 7 Deputy Ministers.
MP Duminda Dissanayake was today reappointed as the Minister of Irrigation, Water Resources and Disaster Management, the same portfolio previously held by him.
Meanwhile, MP Dayasiri Jayasekara was sworn in as the Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training.

Nishantha Muthuhettigamage: Deputy Minister of Ports and Shipping
Indika Bandaranayake: Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban Development

Sarathi Dushmantha: Deputy Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms
