Power failure disrupts operations at BIA

A sudden power failure has occurred at the immigration emigration premises at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

Reportedly, the power has not returned since its failure at around 11.30 am this morning (07).

Although electricity generators have been utilized provide power, the computers systems have not been restored yet.

As a result, operations of the immigration and emigration have been disrupted, a BIA spokesperson told Ada Derana.
