PMD announces change in time of re-imposition of curfew in 8 districts

The President’s Media Division (PMD) says that the curfew in the 8 districts, where it was lifted earlier today (24), will be re-imposed at 2.00 pm.
The curfew in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam and the 5 districts of the Northern Province was temporarily lifted at 6.00 am today.
It was scheduled to go into force again at 12 noon, however, the PMD announced a 2-hour extension until 2.00 pm.
Accordingly, curfew for the aforementioned districts will be in effect until 6 am on Friday (March 27).
The curfew on other districts, where it was temporarily lifted yesterday, was resumed at 2.00 pm on the same day
The curfew in those areas will continue to be in effect until 6 am on Thursday (26). It will be re-imposed from 12.00 noon on the same day (26).
Transportation will be completely suspended across all districts of the Island. Moreover, transporting foreign tourists to different locations is also prohibited.
However, farmers, those who are engaged in tea smallholdings and export crop production processes in any district are granted permission to engage in their work during the curfew period.
