Another COVID-19 patient discharged from IDH after recovery

Another patient who had tested as positive for the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has recovered from the disease, hospital sources told Ada Derana.

Reportedly, the completely recovered person was discharged from the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Angoda today (25).

This would be the third patient in Sri Lanka to have recovered from the virus including the Chinese female who made a recovery back in February.

Earlier this week, the first Sri Lankan who tested positive for COVID-19 was also discharged from the IDH after making a complete recovery.

Currently, 99 patients with COVID-19 are receiving treatment at three hospitals; 88 patients at the IDH, 10 patients at the Welikanda Base Hospital and one patient at Mulleriyawa Base Hospital, According to the Epidemiology Unit.

In addition, 255 people suspected of contracting the coronavirus are currently undergoing medical supervision in 21 hospitals island-wide.
