Only one new COVID-19 patient reported today – Anil Jasinghe

Director-General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe states that only one COVID-19 patient has been identified within the day so far.

The new patient raises the number of coronavirus cases reported in Sri Lanka to 719.

Meanwhile, 3 patients who had tested positive for Coronavirus were discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.

This brings the total number of recoveries in the country to 187.

Currently, 527 active cases are under medical care at hospitals across the country, as per the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.

There have been 07 fatalities due to the virus in Sri Lanka.
