175 civilians released from Iranamadu quarantine center

Another batch of individuals who completed the process of mandatory quarantine has been released from the Iranamadu quarantine center.
Accordingly, 175 civilians have left the quarantine facilities operated by the Sri Lanka Air Force for their residences.
The quarantined persons have been subjected to PCR testing before they were released, stated Sri Lanka Air Force.
Air Force Spokesperson Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe said the group f 175 includes 92 females and that they are residents of Keselwatta, Bandaranaike Mawatha, Kotahena and Dematagoda.
They had been placed under quarantine since April 22.
Meanwhile a total of 256 civilians had completed three weeks quarantine at the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) managed quarantine facility in Mullaittivu, yesterday (May 10).
The civilians who had completed quarantine included 225 males and 31 females from the Gunasinghapura area in Colombo.
According to SLAF, 77 civilians left for homes while 48 others found to be drug addicts were directed to the Rehabilitation Centre at Kandakadu.
In addition, 50 individuals had been sent to elderly homes and 30 others directed to the Ridigama Hospital for elders.
Further, 51 persons who lacked sufficient vocational skills were directed for projects as apprentices.
