COVID-19 recoveries count of Sri Lanka reaches 732

Twenty more COVID-19-positive patients who had been undergoing treatment have made complete recoveries as of 10.00 am today (27), says the Ministry of Health.
This brings Sri Lanka’s recoveries count to 732.
The new recoveries are reported from Infectious Disease Hospital (02), Welikanda Base Hospital (01), Colombo East Base Hospital (05), Navy Hospital (10) and Minuwangoda Base Hospital (02).
The country confirmed a total of 137 new COVID-19 patients on Tuesday (26) recording the highest daily surge in virus cases the country has witnessed to date. The coronavirus-positive cases tally thereby hiked to 1,319.
Out of the cases confirmed on Tuesday (26), 127 were returnees from Kuwait at quarantine facilities while 10 of them were navy personnel, who are also under quarantine.
The number of active coronavirus cases that are under medical care stand at 577 at the moment.
Sri Lanka reported its 10th COVID-19 death on Monday (25) as a 51-year-old woman who had arrived in the country from Kuwait succumbed to the disease.
