Forty-six new coronavirus recoveries add up to a total of 1,196

Ministry of Health confirms that 46 more persons who had tested positive for COVID-19 were discharged from respective hospitals as they have returned to health.

These patients were receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital (09), Colombo East Base Hospital (12), Iranawila Hospital (01), Kattankudy Base Hospital (10), Welisara Navy Hospital (03) and Minuwangoda Base Hospital (11).

Sri Lanka’s coronavirus recoveries count thereby shot up to 1,196.

In the meantime, COVID-19 patients count hit 1,877 on Thursday (11) with 08 fresh positive cases from the Navy.

This brings the active virus-positive cases under medical care to 670.

According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 642 of the total number of confirmed cases are Sri Lankans who returned to the country from foreign countries and 882 are naval personnel.

Sri Lanka has confirmed 11 deaths due to the COVID-19.
