The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the incidents of political victimization has issued summons to former Eastern Province Governor Rohitha Bogollagama.

Accordingly, he is scheduled to make an appearance before the Commission on the 23rd of June.

This is concerning a complaint Bogollagama had lodged with the Commission.

In the meantime, Chairman of Avant-Garde Nissanka Senadhipathi is also set to appear before the PCoI on political victimization on the 15th of June.

Senadhipathi will record a statement regarding the complaint he had lodged on the alleged loss incurred by his company due to arbitrary takeover.

This Presidential Commission of Inquiry was appointed earlier this year to look into the incidents of political victimization between 08 January 2015 and 16 November 2019.

The Commission comprises of retired Supreme Court Judge Upali Abeyratne, retired Court of Appeal Judge Daya Chandrasiri Jayatilake and retired IGP Chandra Fernando.
