Sri Lanka’s Covid-19 cases climb to 1,901

Six new cases of Coronavirus have been identified increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the country 1,901.

The six new cases include 05 returnees from Kuwait who are at the Trincomalee quarantine center and a returnee from Bangladesh who is at the Diyatalawa quarantine center.

Accordingly a total of 12 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported so far today (15). The other six are returnees from Maldives.

According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health presently 548 patients infected with the virus are being treated at hospitals.

The total number of recoveries has increased to 1,342.
