A group of 290 Sri Lankan migrant workers, who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, reached the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake this morning onboard a special repatriation flight.

The passengers reached the BIA onboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL-226 which had landed in the country at around 5.35 a.m. this morning (18).
