Another batch of 154 Sri Lankan nationals, who were stranded in the United Kingdom due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, returned to the island today onboard a special repatriation flight.

The SriLankan Airlines flight UL 504 arriving from Heathrow Airport in London reached the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake at around 1.10 p.m. today (24).

The passengers and crew of the flight will undergo PCR tests within the airport premises itself while the returnees from UK will be provided temporary accommodation at hotels located near the airport pending the results of the tests.
