Afternoon thundershowers expected in four districts

A few showers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Jaffna, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Kilinochchi districts after 02.00 p.m.


Sea areas:

A few showers will occur in the sea areas from Colombo to Matara via Galle.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the sea areas from Kankesanturai   to Trincomalee via Mullaitivu in the evening or night.

Winds will be Westerly to South-westerly in the sea areas around the island and the wind speed will be (25-40) kmph.

Wind speed can increase up to 60 kmph in the sea areas extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil. Wind speed can increase up to (45-50) kmph in the other sea areas.

The sea areas extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil can be rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be fairly rough at times.
