Central Mail Exchange temporarily closed

November 5, 2020   10:50 am

The Central Mail Exchange in Colombo has been temporarily closed for the public, the Post Master General informed.

This decision is taken as an employee at the Central Mail Exchange has been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection.

Accordingly, the operations and public services at the Central Mail Exchange will be temporarily suspended until further notice.

The premises will be disinfected as per the instructions of the health officials while the date of resuming duties will be announced later, he said.

However, this will not hinder the medicine distribution services carried out for the benefit of the patients registered at the clinics of government hospitals, Post Master General Ranjith Ariyaratne said.
