Legal action against those who refuse PCR testing

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana says that they have received reports of certain individuals who are ignoring requests for them to undergo PCR testing.

The DIG said that investigations are underway to arrest such persons.

Further, legal action will be taken against those who refuse PCR testing, under quarantine laws, he added.

Meanwhile, 29 Grama Niladhari Divisions islandwide have been declared as isolated areas.

The Police Media Spokesman stated that 13 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Colombo District, 05 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Gampaha District, 09 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Kalutara District, and 02 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Kandy District have been isolated in this manner.
