Derana wins top awards at SLIM People’s Awards 2021

Derana Media Network has clinched top awards at SLIM People’s Awards 2021, reaffirming its unparalleled popularity and credibility.

The awards ceremony, one of the most awaited marketing events of the year took place at the BMICH in Colombo this evening (March 23).

TV Derana picked up the awards for “People’s Television Channel of the Year” and “People’s Youth Choice – Television Channel of the Year” at SLIM People’s Awards 2021.

This is the fourth consecutive year that TV Derana was named as “People’s Television Channel of the Year” and “People’s Youth Choice – Television Channel of the Year” at SLIM People’s Awards.

FM Derana claimed the “People’s Youth Choice – FM Channel of the Year” award at the event.

In the meantime, Ada Derana bagged the award for “People’s News Provider of the Year” for the third consecutive year.

Ada Derana news anchor Chatura Alwis won the “People’s Television Presenter of the Year” award.

Meanwhile, the TV Derana’s hit teledrama “Deweni Inima” won the award for “People’s Teledrama of the Year”.

Nayanathara Wickramarachchi of “Deweni Inima” picked up the award for “Teledrama Actress of the Year” while Raween Kanishka bagged the “Teledrama Actor of the Year” award for his performance in the same teledrama.
