Mujibur Rahman tests positive for coronavirus

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) parliamentarian Mujibur Rahman has tested positive for COVID-19 infection.

The MP is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

Meanwhile, Rahman’s family currently remains under quarantine.

Posting a message on his Facebook page, Mujibur Rahman said that he had shown symptoms of fever and cough since last Sunday (May 16). However, when he had obtained an antigen test for COVID-19, it had come out negative.

Subsequently, a PCR test had been carried out last night (May 19) which had indicated that the MP had been infected with the virus.

Further, the parliamentarian requested all who had maintained contact with him in the past days to isolate themselves.
