Fmr Minister Athauda Seneviratne passes away

Former minister Athauda Seneviratne has passed away early this morning (March 31), family sources told Ada Derana.

Born in 1931, Seneviratne was aged 91 years at the time of his demise.

Seneviratne embarked on his political career in 1957 and was elected to the parliament in 1989 representing the Kegalle electoral district. He has held several ministerial portfolios throughout his political career.
