The travel ban was issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage after taking into account a request made by Additional Solicitor General Ayesha Jinasena, who appeared on behalf of the Criminal Investigation Department.
MPs Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Sanjeewa Edirimanna, Kanchana Jayaratne, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, C.B. Meanwhile, the travel ban was also extended to seven eyewitnesses who were at the scene.
The magistrate ordered to inform the Controller-General of Immigration and Emigration of the relevant travel ban and to surrender their passports to the custody of the court.
