Two Sri Lankans have been arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja in Nigeria while in possession of fake passports.
Foreign media reported that the officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) of Nigeria and other related offences Commission had made the arrest on Sunday (02).
An airport official stated that it was the second time in 2020 that Sri Lankans would be arrested for the same offence at the airport.
According to reports, the two suspects were holding Malaysian passports and equally holding one-way tickets to London Heathrow.
It was, however, revealed that the suspects connived with some officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the airport to travel out of Nigeria with invalid documents.
It was gathered that the suspects are in detention of ICPC and were making confessional statements.
