Do not vote for anyone even connected to Maithripala - Prasanna

Minister Prasanna Ranatunga asks the public not to vote for anyone even connected to former President Maithripala Sirisena.

Addressing a public meeting in Mahara, Gampaha, he said that it is the duty of the people to elect those who know how to be grateful to the parliament.

Ranatunga says he will be ‘blasted’ at the party leaders’ meeting when his statement is broadcasted through media. However, he does not care because he knows that people in Gampaha will protect him, the Minister added.

Further speaking, Minister Ranatunga said that it is their duty to elect Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Minister with a two-thirds majority of the parliament.
