Will not end up in Opposition again, says Fonseka

Former Parliamentarian Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka says that the ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’ does not have any intention to be in the Opposition again.

Speaking to the media in Dompe, Fonseka said that they created the new alliance to form a government.

Fonseka added that he does not believe the claims that the government of Rajapaksas could not be defeated as the previous administration led by Rajapaksas also suffered a defeat in 2015.

Commenting further he stated that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has forgotten the pledges he gave during last year’s election.

The public will decide whether the Rajapaksas should continue to be in power, he added.
