Refrain from conducting Masses till end of March, Cardinal requests

Archbishop of Colombo Diocese, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has requested all churches to refrain from conducting Sunday and other Masses till the end of March.

Cardinal Ranjith stated this addressing a special media briefing at the Catholic Archbishop’s House this evening (14).

He urged the Catholics in the country to support the efforts of the government to curb the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19).

After looking into the situation that prevails in the country following March 31, the Catholic community will be informed of conducting Sunday and other Masses, the Cardinal stated further.
