Deputy Leader, Sajith was attending a series of rallies on the invitation of the Ampara District Muslim UNP candidates for the Eastern Provincial Council. Following the public rally the candidates met with Sajith.

“Sir, only the UNP is capable of eradicating racism from our country”, the candidates stated.

“I have addressed over 200 rallies and the common consensus is that we need to prepare for the next Presidential election. I think victory in this election is just the beginning of our journey so we must ensure that we secure power in the Eastern Provincial Council”, Sajith replied.

The candidates were encouraged by Sajith’s comments.
