Rumour has it...

When rumours of Dayasiri Jayasekera joining the government started spreading like wildfire, a host of MPs including Kabir Hashim, Harin Fernando, Mangala and Ruwan Wijeyawardena rushed to discuss the matter with Ranil.

“If Dayasiri is trying to jump ship, we have to stop it boss. We’ll meet with him and talk about the issues he has”, Kabir suggested.

“He has already met with the President. Malik Samarawickrema confirmed it to me after he too met with the President and inquired as to if the rumours were true”, Ranil stated.

“As I heard it, apparently he is upset with the decision to have the party elections every six years”, the MP stated.

Ranil stood up angrily and declared in a stern voice, “If he had problems with the party he should have spoken to us about it or at least told us he was meeting with the President. I wanted only a three year gap on the elections but everyone decided it should be six”.

Walking away from the MPs Ranil stopped and stated “If you want to, go ahead and talk to him. As for me, I have no more faith in the man”.
