Sonal Dinusha makes Test debut at SSC

24-year-old Sonal Dinusha today became the 170th player to represent Sri Lanka in Test cricket.

Dinusha received his cap from Kusal Mendis before the start of the second test match against Bangladesh at the SSC Grounds in Colombo.

Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hassan Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first in the second and final test.

Skipper Shanto at the toss confirmed Bangladesh has made two changes to the lineup from the Galle Test. Mehidy Hasan Miraz has replaced Jaker Ali while Ebadot Hossain has been named in place of injured Hasan Mahmud.

Sri Lanka has also made two changes to the lineup.

All-rounder Sonal Dinusha replaced retired Angelo Mathews while Vishwa Fernando came into the side in place of injured Milan Rathnayake.

According to skipper Dhananjaya de Silva, he will bat at No. 4.
